Help the Hospices has published the guidance for bereavement needs assessment implementation report which outlines findings of a study in three hospices into implementing a new approach to assessing the need for bereavement support. The new approach was introduced in 'Guidance for bereavement needs assessment in palliative care', which Help the Hospices published in February 2008.


One copy of the report will be sent to each hospice which is a member of Help the Hospices. Printed copies are priced at £10 and it is also available to download, free of charge, from the publications section of Help the Hospices website.

Help the Hospices is also producing a second edition of the Guidance. This will be launched at a study day, ‘Bereavement needs assessment: the challenge for practice – an update and new thinking’   (29 September 2010 at Help the Hospices).
